The Berkeley Microfinance Simulcast Class

The Berkeley Microfinance Simulcast is a live webcasted microfinance class taught by Professor Sean Foote at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Guest speakers include word class leaders in the field of microfinance, including the heads of Grameen, Compartamos, Kiva.org, Microplace, UNITUS, and Freedom From Hunger.

The class runs from October-December and is hosted online on by MFIConnect.com, a networking and education website for students worldwide who are interested in microfinance. More details here: http://www.mficonnect.com/page/berkeley-microfinance.
Interested? MFI Connect is looking for a student at Yale to be the Campus Coordinator for the Simulcast Class. All you have to do is:

1) Email sfoote@alethion.com and Julen Baztarrica at julen_baztarrica@mba.berkeley.edu with your contact information and your willingness.

2) Find a classroom with an Internet connection (hardwired) and projector.

3) Participate in a technology test to make sure it’s working (sometime in September)

4) Market the class to your campus (consistent with whatever timing works for your campus)

5) Join in on the first day!
