Intern in Beijing

April 2, 2010

Trekiz Networking Tech Company is developing an online travel planning and booking platform initially targeting inbound-to-China travelers and local expats. While there are many travel ticket booking websites, Trekiz has a unique model and technology that we believe will make planning and booking travel to and within China fast, convenient, and much more enjoyable. We have a strong founding team representing China, South East Asia, and the US. The CEO is the former head of strategy for Cisco Systems in China, and a London Business School MBA. The CFO is an MBA from the University of Chicago and is an investment banking VP at Macquarie Bank in Hong Kong. Our product development team is also multicultural: with Chinese and American product developers and a German user experience expert helping us with product design. Over the summer, we’d like to invite one to two students to help us further develop the marketing and business development strategy, establish sales channels, and execute parts of the marketing and sales plan. Being a very early stage startup, we’ll probably only be able to cover housing, and we could hire a Chinese language and culture tutor to help you learn Chinese, get settled in, see Beijing and learn about China while here if needed. The other costs of living are very inexpensive; great experience for someone really interested in this kind of opportunity.
