Association for India’s Development (AID)

AID is an organization that’s a little less than twenty years old, and was begun by an Indian-American NRI couple that was the real-life inspiration for the Ashutosh Gowarikar movie Swades as a grass roots organization designed to address the concerns and difficulties impoverished and oppressed India faces, be they illiteracy, power outages, rehabilitation work after natural disasters, or domestic violence and trafficking of women. We are looking to start a chapter at Yale. However, we are in dire need of students and individuals who are excited and passionate about influencing change through these causes and are willing to put in time and effort to make this happen at Yale.  Please do let me know if you are interested in any way, shape, or form in these organizations — roohi.rustum@yale.edu
