Announcement for GDA groups (and all students!) from UAEM

Support Universities Allied for Essential Medicine‘s campaign to put Yale’s medical and biomedical discoveries to use in the developing world!

Support UAEM’s campaign to get Yale to adopt a technology licensing policy!

Eight years ago, Yale released its patent on a crucial AIDS drug, helping to lower the price dramatically and make it available around the world.

Since then, about 80 million people have died of diseases for which we already have life-saving treatments.

And Yale still doesn’t have a comprehensive policy to ensure that all of our drugs are patented and licensed with similar global access provisions.

It’s time for a change.

What can you do?
1. Sign our petition. It will only take 30 seconds. www.yalehasadrugproblem.com
2. Spread the word: ask your parents and friends to sign, post our website on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
3. If you are involved in a student organization at Yale, email us (deepali.dhar@yale.edu) to say you want to join UAEM as a sponsor of this campaign!
