Submission Guidelines
The Yale Journal of Public Health is conducting a call for papers for the Winter 2012 Issue: Mental Health. The PH seeks authors that will provide academic, interesting insights into the area of public health. Interested authors should contact the relevant Editor to discuss a potential contribution.
As a guideline, the YJPH Editorial Board has devised a Leads document, which provides article ideas and related resources as the drawing board from which authors can begin writing. Those wishing to select a topic from the Leads PDF should reply with their top three preferences to the Managing Editor (anne.bozik@yale.edu). Alternative themes are welcome, but they must be approved by the Editorial Board prior to the beginning of the writing cycle. In general, YJPH articles fall under one of two types: Features (3500-4000 words) and Short Reporting Pieces (800-1200 words). Final draft submission lengths are ultimately subject to the Editor’s discretion. All works submitted must follow AMA Citation Guidelines and reflect dedication by the author to producing original, academic writing.
Submissions are accepted in either hard copy or by email to: yalejournalofpublichealth@gmail.com. Email submissions are preferred.
If a work is submitted in hard copy, an electronic ‘soft’ version of the document in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) must be included on a USB drive. Hard copies are to be sent to the following address:
Rebecca Stern Yale University Berkeley College Master’s Office 205 Elm Street, New Haven CT 06520 The Managing Editor will acknowledge receipt of all submissions.Publication is subject to peer review, and at the discretion of the responsible Editor and the YJPH Editorial Board.
